Friday 19th February is a special date for me as I will be performing guitar duets at The Jericho Tavern in Oxford with my earliest flamenco guitar teacher and longtime friend, Marcos.
This in itself is a privilege for me, but Marcos and I will also be sharing the stage with superb singer-songwriter Christopher Paul Stelling who hails from the USA and is currently some way into his world tour.
Christopher Paul Stelling is a highly gifted American folk singer and talented fingerstyle guitarist who often plays beautifully intricate guitar parts during his songs, hence Marcos and I being invited to support him with our own guitar duets.
The Jericho Tavern is a venue with a unique place in musical history having hosted the first live gig of Radiohead amongst many others - so we will be aiming to keep the quality especially high on this particular night.
Marcos and I will also perform some of our solo guitar pieces and I will be accompanied by my excellent colleague, Tony Shepherd on cajon.
This event promises to be a memorable evening of varied and exciting music so do join us if you are in the area!
