Going with the wedding flow...
October was a busy month for me with, amongst other events, a lovely wedding couple to play for at the imposing venue, Stoneleigh Abbey, Warwickshire.
Their ceremony took place in The Orangery (see above), right beside the river, and was notable because the Bride, having walked the aisle in great style with her father, decided to retrace her steps to greet a senior elderly relative on the back row....creating much amusement for the guests....and a rather extended improvisation on the beautiful Spanish classical piece Romanza Anonimo from David Shepherd | Wedding Guitarist!
Said improvisation is now in my repertoire, for any similar moments that might occur.
The couple very kindly endorsed my improvisational skills, God bless them!
David took the time to prepare thoroughly and to perform a flawless set, much to the crowd's approval! His mix of Spanish classical songs were also a perfect accompaniment to the Ceremony and the Bride's walk down the isle. As she ended up walking the isle twice, he had to improvise too! Thank you for your efforts David - and for being a part of our day.
Jasmine and Chris wedding. Stoneleigh Abbey, Warks.
Thanks also to my amazingly talented and award winning colleague, Juggy Rihal (Classical Indian Tabla) for his performance with me during the drinks reception. Definitely 'Something Different' for the guests who were very appreciative.
